I recently booked a short break in Dorset. It's not an area I know well so I was looking for a quick introduction to some of the must-visit places as well as recommendations for restaurants and shops. I didn't find anything that fitted the bill and it got me thinking: what about people who are visiting Cornwall? There's so much to see and do here it must be difficult for a first-time visitor to know where to start.
As a journalist it's always been my aim to make the Middle Colenso Farm website and social media as informative as possible. With this in mind, we've just added some new Stories to our Instagram account. These picture-led features will provide an introduction to some of our favourite places in West Cornwall and beyond.
We've started with a few categories covering what we think are must-see attractions, as well as places to eat and drink. There are also Stories about walks, gardens, arts and crafts and a behind-the-scenes look at life at Middle Colenso Farm and our holiday cottages.
These mini guides include a short description and are designed to whet visitors' appetites and provide them with some ideas for planning their holiday. Click on the arrows on the gallery below to see some examples.
We'll be adding to our Instagram Stories and introducing new categories over the coming weeks as we, too, continue to explore this glorious part of the country.
