Explore South West Cornwall

While The Bell Tower is occupies a prime position in the centre of Penzance, Middle Colenso Farm is located in a peaceful rural setting, half way between Penzance and Helston and just a five-minute drive from Prussia Cove and the South West Coast Path. Some of the county’s finest beaches, historic sites, gardens and art galleries are all within easy reach of both properties.

Our favourite days out in the area include :

  • Exploring historic Marazion and St Michael’s Mount.

  • Relaxing on the beach at nearby Prussia Cove, Praa sands or Keneggy Cove.

  • Taking a stroll down Penzance’s historic Chapel Street with its fascinating architecture, excellent shops and pubs.

  • Enjoying a day trip to the picturesque harbour of Mousehole, described by Dylan Thomas as “the loveliest village in England”.

  • Stepping back in time with a visit to one of West Penwith’s Bronze and Iron Age monuments or Chysauster Ancient Village which dates back to 100 BC.

  • Discovering West Cornwall’s industrial heritage at St Just - a Cornish Mining World Heritage Site.

  • Taking in a play at the Minack Theatre, carved out of the rocks above Porthcurno Beach.

  • Walking the spectacular South West Coast Path.

  • Visiting the magnificent gardens at Trengwainton, Godolphin House and Tremenheere.
