Flat 1, The Bell Tower

The Bell Tower is one of the most recognisable buildings on the Penzance skyline. Situated just off historic Chapel Street and overlooking the harbour, it began life as The First National School in 1834.

Accessed via a granite spiral staircase, Flat 1 is situated on the first floor and has two large arched windows which overlook harbour and St Michael's Mount in the distance.

The flat has a large open plan living and kitchen area with its original high ceilings and wooden floor. It has one bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with a shower over the bath.

We have just completed extensive renovation works and the flat has been furnished with carefully-sourced midcentury furniture. We have chosen high quality f fixtures and fittings from brands such as Lefroy Brooks, Robert Welch, David Mellor and Sage. 

Flat 1 has its own parking space but is also ideally located for those who wish to come by train. Penzance station is a 15-minute walk away and there are excellent public transport links throughout West Cornwall.

Please note that due to the spiral staircase, Flat 1 is not suitable for those with severe mobility issues. It is not ideal for dogs but not impossible so do get in touch with us if you would like to bring your pet. 

The parking area is accessed via an archway and headroom is restricted.

Terms & Conditions

Bookings for holidays can be made online via our website where payment is taken via a secure card facility. All of our prices include VAT.

In order to secure your booking we require a non-refundable deposit of 20%. The balance is due four weeks before your arrival date. For guests bringing a dog, there is a pet supplement of £25.

We do not charge a damage deposit, however, if there are any substantial breakages we will be obliged to recover the costs from you.

Cancellations made more than four weeks before the arrival date will be charged the deposit amount. In the event of a cancellation within four weeks of the arrival date we will retain the full rental charge. We will attempt to re-let the property and if successful, a discretionary payment may be made. However, we strongly recommend you take out holiday cancellation insurance. Please be aware that there is an administration fee of £15.

Our minimum stay s three nights. Check in is after 3pm and check out is before 10am. 

We do no accept bookings from persons under the age of 18.
